The scholarship is open to any qualified students who have finished the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in the United States (4 years of college study) and have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience. Candidates are assessed on their communication abilities, leadership, and community involvement, as well as their motivation to pursue higher education. As a result, it is preferable to emphasize these characteristics in the application.

The scholarships cover economy flights, tuition, textbooks, and a stipend for living expenses. Candidates interested in pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Arts and Culture, International Legal Studies, Gender Studies, Public Health, Public Administration, or Urban and Regional Planning are eligible to apply.

There is no exact set number of seats available for these scholarships because the USIEF analyzes all applicants or applicants that are judged to be eligible.
